The contents of our hampers include non-perishable food items to be used as part of Christmas dinner and for meals throughout the holiday week.
See below for a list of items we ask you to include in your food donation. When making your donation please think about the non-perishable food in your own home. What do you usually buy and use? Those items often make the best donations.
We strive to ensure the families receive healthy foods. We ask you to please be mindful of “Best Before” dates so that your donation can to be passed on. Every year we throw out hundreds of pounds of expired food. Please don’t pass your unwanted items on to us – please dispose of them yourself.
*We thank everyone who wishes to pass on their home-made goods, however, only commercially packaged items are used in the food hampers.
In the event that we get more food donations than we can use, we will give all excess donations to the Canmore and Morley food banks.
